What a depressing mainstream TV debut for my thesis topic
To the best of my knowledge there hasn’t been a mainstream UK TV series about a personal weblogger until now. Does the first screen outing have to be for ‘Belle Du Jour‘ - on TV as The Secret Diary of a Call Girl?

Well as they say, sex sells. And sadly, the latest American teen drama, which has a strong blogging angle, is hardly any better in its substance. Gossip Girl, from the people that brought you The OC, follows the life of privileged private school students from the Upper East Side in New York City through their various irresponsible acts of conspicuous consumption. Huzzah.
